Canadian Experience Class


Canadian Experience Class program enables skilled workers to become Canadian permanent residents based on eligible Canadian work experience in either or a combination of:
  • Managerial job (skill type 0)
  • Professional job (skill level A)
  • Technical job (skill level B) 
To be eligible for this program, you have to meet the following minimum requirement:
  • One year of full-time (or equivalent part-time), paid work experience in Canada, at one or more jobs within last three years before applying. Self-employment and work experience gained as a full-time student (including a co-op work term) cannot be used.
  • For managerial jobs (skill type 0) or professional jobs (skill level A), English and/or French language ability at a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 each in: 
    • Writing
    • Reading
    • Speaking
    • Listening
  • For technical jobs (skill level B), English and/or French language ability at a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 each in: 
    • Writing
    • Reading
    • Speaking
    • Listening
A certificate, diploma or degree for your secondary and/or post-secondary education is not required, but it can help to improve your score.

Once you meet the minimum requirement, you will be assessed and subsequently ranked in the Express Entry pool of candidates. 

You must be admissible to Canada.
