Federal Skilled Worker program enables skilled workers to become Canadian permanent residents based foreign work experience in:
- Managerial job (skill type 0)
- Professional job (skill level A)
- Technical job (skill level B)
To be eligible for this program, you have to meet the following minimum requirement:
- One year of continuous full-time, paid work experience in an eligible occupation
- English and/or French language ability at a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 each in:
- Writing
- Reading
- Speaking
- Listening
- Certificate, diploma or degree for your secondary and/or post-secondary education
Once you meet the minimum requirement, you will be assessed and subsequently ranked in the Express Entry pool of candidates based on your:
- Age
- Education
- Work experience
- English and/or French language ability
- Valid job offer (optional)
- Adaptability (how well you’re likely to settle in Canada)
You must be admissible to Canada, and will also need to proof that you have sufficient funds for you and your family (if you have one) to settle in Canada.
